    It should be starting about now 2115hrs accoring to various websites, so lets all go out and look at it.

      It's clear in East Kent at the moment, but the moon is still fully visable.

          2148 and there is a obvious umbra spreading across the moon from low and left as you look at it.
          Totality is 2244 - 2358, should appear reddish brown, depending on the level of dust in the atmosphere. I've arranged to wake the kids at 2230 so they can see the last part up to totality - not absolutely sure they are going to go to sleep in the interim...
