I would be tempted to say it wouldn't fit! plus its a nasty thing to look at! You could probably get someone to make something similar for next to nothing! Or just use a roof bar with spots in it!

Yep if you put a frontera roof on it. Don't do it m8 it looks cheap & nasty.

Apache, bought some Thule roof bars a couple of weeks ago and would be very interested in trying your roof lights mod myself (hence my user name Copycat!)

The roof bars are almost brand new and I wondered in you had drilled yours to attach the bar or did you use some type of clamps? Can't tell from the photo.

I fitted a piece of 2" angle ally to the bar (1.5" would do), and fitted the lamps (Ring Microline) to that. It meant I could get the lights down close to the roof. Fitted to the bar itself, they wouldn't fit underneath it. See the first photo in the last post, and this one, you can see the angle and how it fits to the bar in those.

Ah yes, it all becomes clear now. I'm going to try and think up some sort of clamping device as I don't really want to drill the bars. Thanks for the extra info mate.

Only used two M6 bolts, so not a huge amount of drilling. Plenty strong enough as the lights aren't heavy. The Thule bars are pretty hefty steel and can easily withstand it.
