Ok guy's, done the oil and filter this afternoon. Going to do fuel filter and water to morrow. Just want to know if there's anything i should know.
Im not green at all this, been working on car's since i could drive but they have all been petrol. Anyway...should i back flush after i have drained off and how should i vent off for air trap's??? thanks chap's. Phil

I always have them on full power and set to hot

Just the sliders in the hot position, electric fans don't move the coolant around!!

Just the sliders, having the fans on won't do alot apart take longer to warm up.

If you want to flush it, pull the hose off the right hand side of the heater valve, and stuff a hose in it, then you wait till the rad fills up and put the cap on, then with it still running open the heater valve and wait till water is running out the valve, this will back flush the rad and heater matrix.

If you fill it the same way, from the hose till it comes out the rad cap, then out the heater valve, then plonk the hose back on you'll have got most of the sir out.

Its alway worth warming it up till the stat opens (the top of the rad hot all the way across), then checking it next morning when completely cold before going on a long trip.

just on sliders do a search for burping the coolent and there is loads of info done it twice and no probs just remember to keep an eye on the level at the rad cap for about a week.
