Newbie Want Surf

Howdy guys

Newbie here.

Just wanted to say Hi and that I hope to take part and get involved a lot when I get a Surf.

Last car was a Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo, had enough of fast cars and I've always liked the Surf never had one.

I got two initial questions if thats ok ?

Q1. Which surf do you recommend ? do the 2.4's have head problems ? should I go for a 3.0 ?

Q2. I have a Honda Fireblade worth £2,500 which I am looking to straight swap for a Surf, am I ok to put this question in the For Sales bit ? I wanted to ask first, saves me gettin shouted at later

Took Blade out today, 120mph .. in 4th with 2 more gears to go, no joke am gonna die on this is I ain't careful so its time to grow up and get sommat that will keep me safe

Go for the 3l as it has that bit extra power and the 2nd gen is better looking

you will have to pay £5 to advertise the bike for sale by sending a payment to Koi and once he gets the payment he will activate the thread as live

i would go for the 2nd gen 3.0ltr.a bit more power and around the same fuel consumption.oh and welcome to the surf emporium of pleasure.make sure you get a decent colour surf otherwise you will get an ear bashing.graphite grey or black would be a good colour.

Hi Matt and welcome, you'll get lots of opinions here, but heres mine.

Both suffer with head probs, but 2.4 moreso probably more due to its age and poor maintenance by previous owners.

The 3.0ltr is more powerfull, and I would sugest the 2nd gen unless you have a blue rinse.

I would also lean towards an auto box due to the weight of the vehicle, I have a manual and it can be tiresome around town with the constant changing gear.(or maybe I'm just getting lazy in me old age, he he )

Welcome used to be a biker myself untill i hit a deer on my Gixer. That was enough for me after 20yrs of riding so i bought a boat. The surf is perfect for pulling it. Get off that fartblood and buy a surf you need to calm down
