AT oil check on a 1st gen

Ive got a flashing overdrive light which comes on at about 30mph
so maybe a lazy 3rd to 4th soleniod??

read a few of the previous posts on it so wanted to check the auto box oil level, only i havent a clue where it is.

Any pointers?

On a 2nd gen, the ATF level is the orange dipstick. You go for a little drive, park up, cycle through the gears (with your foot on the brake ), put it in neutral, leave the engine runnning and check that it's within the 'hot' range on the dipstick.
