The worst without doubt is Landrovers Freelander fitted with the Rover 1800K engine, totaly useless cooling system, the head gasket blows more regular than moby dick and @ any sign of over heating the plastic (yes PLASTIC) supports that keep the piston cylinder liners in place MELT. Never ever buy one of these!!!
The best is the Discovery although 99% we look after are never off road and never worked hard so mibi it dont count?
Best all rounder is the GV2000, zero maintainance, change the ten bob oil when you can be arsed and it will go wherever you want with no effort nor complaint.
Defender N Surf dont rate 'cos they need constant TLC / money / cursing!

well i've changed the oil twice since i've had her, that was in january, dropped the oil first thing and then a couple of weeks ago. i'm gonna drop it again at the weekend and put a new filter on, she's sweet as a nut and i want to keep her that way.
then i'll get round to servicing the surfThe benchmark....
