Having just switched on, beleive it or not, on the way home from the pub, was thinking to ask Tony on my next service about breathers. I, from reading threads on his site, believe there are quite a few. How often do people actually have them cleaned?? Tony??
Not sure if this makes any sense, but good night anyway.

Both Vauxhall and Isuzu are GM so parts are from teh same bin (no jokes about rubbish bin please)
Yeah, the Frontera was based on an Isuzu. Not the Trooper though, some kind of obscure pick up. The Monterey was exactly the same as a Trooper.

The Frontera Sport was named after the two popular sports of Breaking Down and Bits Falling Off.

based on the isuzu TF, which was same as the vauxhall brava pick up 4x4. i had a brava. had a 2.5 non turbo diesel isuzu engine. engine reliable, bodywork and chassis rots quickly.

Actually yes, on stuff that has been dunked in mud I often find the cap is glued shut with junk. I check them when doing a service, as it can make the seals leak if it can't vent pressure when they are hot.

Normally spray with WD40 and work the cap till the it loosens up, and you can feel the spring working.
