  • Lift Questions

OK one of my questions was partially answered on Jacksters thread regarding the fuel filler, but i'm not sure if ya only have to loosen it if your doing a 3" lift
or a 2" as well, suppose it's better to loosen it anyway and be on the safe side,
The other question is has anyone done a lift with a Jaos bar fitted? it suddenly occur'd to me that the uprights return over the bumper top a bit
(see the pix) so any messing with the clearance between body and chassi is gonna throw that out and the bars wont fit unless i make up metalwork to alter the jaos brackets, (which i dont really want to do) if this is going to be a major pain i'll leave it a just do a suspension lift instead, although the main reason for a body lift was to help with fitting the intercooler
I'm in two minds about this now! Thanks Ian and Ian

best to loosen the filler pipe aswell Ian.I took my wrap around bar off as i will have to cut 2" of the top where it goes over the bumper as in the pic and then i will get it put back on,the stabiliser brackets will have to be modified aswell i think but wont know till i get to put it back on

I think you need to do the suspension lift if you wish to keep the jaos

              Cheers Vatch

Bit confused as to why i'd need a suspension lift as well to keep the bars though, unless i'm missing summat

                Suspension lift instead of bodylift.

It wasn't that funny in hindsight, I binned it.
