i think im right in saying that the side wall of the tyre is allowed to stick out but the tread isnt.if im wrong then im sure someone will come along in a minute and put me right.
i spoke to my mot tester about this and it is nothing to do with mot's but just depends on what you local police force think about it whether or not they pull you for it
Yeah, MOT shouldn't be overly bothered unless its silly amounts, plod will though, the tyre tread blocks must be 'as good as covered', the round sidewalls are OK.
Our 33's probably stick out about 3/4" at the front, the rears are less.
Wether you get $hit off the old bill usually depends how civil you are to them, and if you where doing something stupid at the time.
