Its just a press fit, a good wiggle and gentle levering gets it out, I'd put it back with a little loctite to make sure it seals.

If you worried about damaging the fitting ( its not that strong and bends easily, trust me I know! ), just swap your whole old vacuum pump on to the new alt.

Ok info needed now chaps ...Does the oil return on the vacuum pump screw in as it is different on the new one and causes problems with the engine mount

Could you not take the old one off and put it on the new one?

Excuse me for sounding thick but i thought thats what tony was investigating for me....As it is i will swap the vac pump off the old on onto the new one as it still works ok
