Coming back up to Newbury next week-end to fix it then drive it back to Wales to tax, MOT, insure and register it.

Will always keep my 2nd gen as a plaything/modification testbed, the 3rd gen will be for the missus for a while, 'till I want it or need it, also to broaden my database of knowledge.

Not too bad then. Whilst we're on the subject of testbeds, if you were going to mount an ancillary oil filter on the 2nd gen Vince, where would you personally think would be the safest place, (most protection whilst having some space to play with), to fit it?
