  • Direct replacement for oem cd/cass/radio

No idea how relevant this is going to be to many of you but........
Over here in NZ I have found a place that does direct replacement for the original toyota cd/cass/radio combo as fitted to lots of Surfs.

If your going to replace this as many do due to cd being shot, radio only picking up Radio Nagasaki etc then this baby is the go as it fills the gaping hole left by the original bit of kit and it only costs around NZ$460 which is less than two hundered of yer english pounds!!

It's made by JVC but I believe Pioneer and Sony do em as well, you can prob get em in UK but this is 1st time I've seen em! If anyone wants more details just post a reply and I'll see what I can do>........

usually available from car stereo shops... probably have to be ordered in as it's not a popular size..

just ask for a double din stereo and they'll know what you mean.

          rad/cass etc

Hi , I know that this isn't relevant for people in northern hemisphere
the price and availability of ICE in NZ but it's great to see that this forum
is bringing people together globally. No I did'nt do church today!
Any reason that there isn't anyone on here from USA where the surf is
big?. Weekend grief on Friday some tw*t reversed into my surf into the offside front wing giving me saturday to strip out the wheel arch to knock out the dent so's that I could open the door.....thankyou.......... Interesting what is under a surf when you start pulling it apart, anything from yen to jap leaves, "Friday build" nuts and bolts etc.
          Haven't found the culprit yet!!!!!.
Finding that owning a surf is a continuous learning curve.

            I have to ask...........
why do you need a remote for something that at most is 1' in front of you????
