what i would do is leave the grill as it is,cover the existing slots with mesh spray this black cut out some stainless points, and fix it to the grill using silicone,the chrome surround of the grill will look like the gums,giving the grill a bit more depth.

Sounds effective. The other possible way would be to do that Satoshi mod so that the mesh and teeth are recessed from the front of the grille itself. That'd definitely give it depth. Like this with teeth in the centre:

You do realise that the teeth will be blocking off 50% of the grill, better keep a close eye on the temp gauge if you do it.

if you can do it then whenever you get time no hurry, but before summer lol.

ok well i'm gonna give it a go myself, done a few before but i fancyed a full stainless grill. i'm also going to add a red neon light behind the grill to come on with the side lights to show off the grill.

i'll stick it on a switch then so if i see then i can shut if it off quick, but the chances of me seeing a round hear are slim

it's easy mate take the grill off cut the middle of the grill out, the get some mesh cut out the same shape but make sure you oversize it, to give you enough to bond it to the frame, leave to dry then put it back together.
