Just wondering if anyone has an Alaskan Malamute.??

I may be lookin for another dog and am very interested in an Alaskan Malamute or Husky type dog and no,it's not to pull my Surf

Does anyone know anything about the breed or a similar breed?????

You could always take on a Utonagan. They have been bred to supposedly look like wolves but have no wolf blood in them - Husky and German Shepherd mainly. I think they just look like German Shepherds with husky markings.

Left my dog at my parents when i was building my house and in a year and a half he'd turned traitor,wouldn't even eat his dinner till my mum was in. Plus my parents have become to attatched to him now.

Yes he is in France, sold his Surf because he could not register it over there, sold me his custom made dog cage when he came back for Crufts last year, and think he has now got a Disco.

We had a norwegian elkhound from a pup, but lost her a couple of years ago, mind you 15 years ain't bad for a pup diagnosed with cancer before she was a year old. My pics are on the other computer but there's some of the breed here http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=...mages&ct=title

They're nice dogs, normally a litlle smaller than a husky, similar markings, maybe not quite so energetic, but i don't really know as ours was on steroids for most of her life. If you're interested i can ask my mum as she will know more of the sort of more specialised information about the breed.
