There is some reference in September's issue regarding the difference between Surf's & 'runners (it's a very small piece) Goes on about how the runner was built for the UK/European market and the Surf is purely a Jap Grey import blah blah blah...........

Shows how little research they really do, the 4Runner was designed for the US market, where they shifted tens of thousands, it was best selling SUV in the US for a few years. The comparitively small amount they sold in europe was just a bonus. If the 4Runner was built for the UK market, how come they only sold it from 93-95, when that model started in 89.4x4toys.co.uk - Keeping you on and off the road...Comment

Rusty - ain't it obvious ?
