Originally on here for £3000 - dropped it to £2500 now and the reserve on ebay is set at £2000....

Had a few questions from ebayers but as soon as I tell em what the reserve is no more contact at all. Am I going completely mad and have set the price too high or is everybody else mad thinking it will be really cheap!!!

its that time of year m8 when no one got money only the rich and they would get a vx hilux im sure,the price has dropped on surf cos of the tax .... but hold on tight ...atleast january is outta the way now 2-3 grand is max id think ? nice surf thou

If you are insecure buy a badged fashion accessory and sell it on when another comes out. If this is you then a surf is worthless to your shallow desires and you are either asleep or a clone.

Surfs are a great 4x4.
If you have a good one it is worth more than the numerous lemons strewn across ebay. Sadly we all want a bargain if something is for sale on ebay we expect well under market value; no one wants to pay more than his fellow man.

I'd drive it until the spring and sell it for more. The chrome will look great in the sun.

agree, and clean it proper too, wash and wax,looks unremarkable in those pix, also, who want's to buy a hilux surf thats obviously had a dog in it? in fact spend 50 quid and get it valeted. ditch the car dog mat in the photos, then clean that up and include a seperate pix, theres alot of people that don't want remnants of last owners dog strewn all over the place. sorry but if you want max money, you gotta make it look max

so withdraw it from sale on ebay... she's worth more than that

Agreed, photo of the load space does not look good with the mat in there. I did give it a good clean before but obviously not good enough - amazing what the camera will pick up. But on a plus note ( I think) I have never transported dogs in the surf so there are no lingering dog smells or hairs in it.
Look slike the reserve has been met on ebay anyway so just hope the bidder goes through with it - if it falls through then I'll wait a couple of months, spend a lot more time cleaning, waxing and polishing and try again.

Sold (Hopefully). Guy from Suffolk - he is flying down to Newquay tomorrow evening to pick it up then drive back to suffolk the same night!! 7 hours drive...overnight after working all day - must be mad!!

Well it's gone - I am now surfless. The guy turned up, saw the surf, gave me the money, filled in the paperwork and drove off to Suffolk.....

I gave him details of the site so hopefully he will become a fully paid up member....
