Not slipping up, don't worry. I don't think there is specifically a plural of turkey, but if so, I would think turkeys is the one. Definitely not turkies.

the correct gramma is "turkeys"
... oh and no joke intended - but the collective noun for a group of turkeys is actually a "death-row of turkeys"!!! unbelievable really.

Oh and cos it contains meat etc it is too acidic , it needs about a year to compost properly and loose all the nasties you dont want
