That's Emley Moor tv mast, I've been inside it.
And those pics are the same as Google Earth.
Laugh!!! I nearly bought my own beer.

You can get pics from several different satellites though. Google earth is one of them, which is why it's the same.

Probably didn't want to hang around too long. The old mast fell down!

Yeh but that's the same day as Google at least three years ago all the same cars in exactly the same places.

It's not, you need to zoom out or it just displays the same pic. I get at least two different shots on my laptop!

My son just installed Google earth last night, (the free one) on my pc,
it's very interseting, but you cant get high res at street level, i believe you have to pay 200 bucks to get that version, They also do a real time tracking pro version for £20 a year, apparantly you can see car no plates, would'nt mind that one,

                  Great site,

The old one fell down after the guy lines got covered in ice in the late 60;s It fell across a church my old man tells me.

I park in the lay by on the north of the pic most weeks to have a sarnie if I am in the area on business.

The Google Earth and Microsoft VE images are definitely old as my house shows it with my old caravan and Volvo 940 which went in early 2003.

Now this http://maps.live.com/ is much more up to date. I can definitely see my current caravan and the Surf on the images on this link.

this one is definately older than the other one as the old factory is still in this one and the old shop is still next door where there are 2 houses now and a bungalow behind

unless they haven't updated in this area for a few years as its at least 5 years out
