  • Vince - off topic question

You know a bit about wood dont ya?

I have some untreated pine used as the framework of a built in bathroom cupboard. I want to paint / other method it white without raising the grain - in fact so you cant see the grain at all.

Whats the best way of doing this? Should I veneer it with melamine or is that a big faff? Advice welcome!

    Cheers!

    Paint is the easiest.
    Rub down.
    Undercoat (oil based)
    Rub smooth when dry.
    Undercoat again.
Lighly rub down and Gloss or, (what I prefer) satin top coat.

Done this way it will look good, last a long time and stay white.

That would indicate that wood is not part of the tree as in an apple that grows on it.

Everything as Bushwhacker said but I would go for an eggshell paint finish

                An apple is a berry.

I always thought a wood was collective noun for a lot of trees " If you go down to the woods today " or is that a forest.
