Is there any school of thought over which is best / most reliable am looking to buy my first surf (3.0 G spec) plan to get it lifted and use off road in spain also towing etc

some of us have manuals!! I love mine, I dont mind changing gear and the engin breaking helps stopping in the wet, downhill with all terrains and no ABS! Its a great gear box too feels solid, but makes driving the misses car seem a bit tame all feels too lite and small!
Oh and hello and welcomeit never rain it pours! glad I got the 4X4

I've got a manual, but due to the weight of the vehicle I/d be tempted to go for an auto next timeround.
If you are in a hilly or mostly built up area then constantly changing gear can get tedious!!
