Sounds like you are having some fun then

I'm laughing because I experienced the same when doing my 3.0lt starter and that was bad enough, except I've heard you need to take the engine out (almost) for a 2.4 version.

Thanks for the tip, methinks tony might get a call if mine ever needs doing Or i could take it to the garage that ripped me off on my last service, as payback sort of thing, get a quote from them and then let em find out it's a bugger of a job.

I removed my starter last year ( I made sure I had all day tho ) ya need to be a midget sometimes & other times a Giant !!!
Once off I took it to man that can (Lucas Centre, Electical engineer) about £20 sqid I think....

There's always a Payback .... You just ain't sure when but it does !!!!

Just fitted (well shogun did, i made tea and bacon butties) my second starter, first one died after 3 months but that good chap @ rough tracks sent me a new one.
p.s. jotto if you read this i dont need yours ta anyway.
