Anyone know what the code/part no is for the tiny little bulbs that illuminate the warning lights at the bottom of the dash,ie: glow plugs, atf warning, glow plug, brake, etc etc?

They're a fairly standard type of bulb. An electronics components supplier will stock something close, or your local dealer, (if they aren't one of the awkward ones), can easily get them for you.

So if i were to scan Ebag, what would i search for. I've tried Toyota Hilux Surf dash bulbs and a combination of these but keep getting 501s and these are the two bigger ones either side of the dash.

Can't remember exactly what they look like of the top of my head. If they are the really small ones with wire flyleads, they're Lilliput lamps. If they're the other type with the metal wire contacts on either side of the glass base, they 're some type of GS bulb, I believe.

I think they're the same (capless) as the 501s but about a 1/4 of the size.

Are they still in the dash, or have you removed them? Anyone have a pic of one? Have you tried rotating the holder. They use that poxy track to make contact. They might just have twisted or the track may have oxidised a bit.

No, half of them aren't there and my mot is on friday. i removed the speedo a couple of months ago to change the speedo dial but cant remember what the bulbs were. Im gonna change all of them to blue ones as they actually light up white and should give a better light. Spoke to the tester today and he reckons it will not pass if warning lights don't work, don't know how true this is but thats what he told me. The Swine.......
