i'm looking for a number plate sticker, so ii can stick it onto the very front of the bonnet. is there a proper name for them.

i've saw a few kit cars with them, done a google search but cant find anything.broke my front number plate at the weekend off road.

    any suggestions would be great.

    cheers scotty

you could try a caravan and camping shop,or trailer shop, but im not sure if they are legal anymore.

Not sure if a caravan shop will do front plates as most need the orange rear but if you can get them you'll need to take your V5 with you as proof of ownership for the reg number.

They sell them in my local accessories shop, the individual letters and numbers are hanging on the wall by the till.
I'm sure I've seen them in B&Q aswell.

usually just the plastic letters for making signs...

they're great fun to rearrange into rude words on the rack!!

caravan/trailer places will do the letters... you'll need to get a white background though.
try the local sign printing shop.

might need to put a std plate on for MOT, but i doubt police would be too interested in it as long as you could read it...
unless there computer flags it as illegible?

when i had one on my old truck, bought a blank "plate" and the numbers/letters indvidually from halfrauds, tecnicaly an mot fail i believe, possibly related to vehicle age?, but as long as i had the "real" plate in the cab on test day it allways passed on the basis of, it was fitted during the test and i must have taken it off after.

yep. unless you have a white truck, you'll need to buy some white vinyl too!
