  • wide body?

    Hi there,

I'm seen references to wide body surfs on the forum. Are there two different body styles available (narrow body and wide body) , what are the differences and how do you tell them apart?

    Thanks and all the best.

    Martin.

The wide body ones appear to be the more common

Narrow is so dreadfully common dear boy

At a guess, I'd say narrow is mostly on pre-92ish vintages and wide is more common from then on. Wide body looks so much better.

The wide body is a bit wider than the narrow one.

I would say the wide body is more common, although some of the narrow ones have had aftermarket arch extensions put on (like mine) so now look like wide ones.

It's a photoshop job of what type of rear spoiler/cover he's thinking of making.

T'is true, similar to the spoilers that used to be fitted to Metro turbos, only wider. Just experimenting at keeping the rear window clear of rain and dust spray when driving.
