    Tire age....

    I was just wondering, I know this is a bit of a unknown question... but... in light of my recent off roading expeditions with my road tyres on I want to get some BFG A/T's most likely as most of the time I am road driving with as much as possible on the weekend off roading!!

    Trouble is.. I have a virtually new set of fulda road tyres on.... I do average miles each year, probably 10k. I know the tyres for 4x4's are generally harder than car road tyres due to the speed ratings etc...

    Anyone got any ideas how long I would expect the Fulda's to last?
    As they are brand new, if I did equip with some A/T's do you think they would sell on ebay or here?

    Any opinions gratefully received... as I am often out on my own, I reckon A/T's are gonna make me feel a whole lot more comfortable when its me faced with a boggy bit of unknown!!!

    Id buy another set of rims for offroading then youve got the best of both worlds see iff bob hilux has any for sale inc tyres

      funny you should say that but i do have a spare set of rims that came with it when I bought the surf.
      trouble is for me, I park on the road outside my flat, its not a ten min job to change all 4...... :-(

        keep your original wheels & tyres as you may need them at some stage.
        i also live in a flat but ive got lots of land + outbuildings so storage is'nt a problem
