Go for BB. I have these on my surf. As they were getting tatty I stripped them back to bare metal, colour coded the insides grey, ploished the rims and relaquered the whole wheel. Oh, and I also drilled out the thirty or so screws and replaced these with new allen head machine screws. Labour intensive but they look terrific. As soon as I work out how to post a pic I will do so.

Can't agree on the red. There is a surf often parked in Tesco's at Pitsea that has the centres in red.
