    Hi Guys,
I am just in the process of changing my trusty estate car for a Hilux.
I am looking for to buy one that can tow our caravan which weighs 1400kg.and for general running to & fro from work
Can anybody give me info on what is the best to buy?
    What mpg I can expect
As I am 6'5" is there plenty of leg room?
And any other general help that will aid me in my quest.
    Thanks in advance

hi bluesman, i have a 3lt 1995 ssrx auto and got it mainly because of the looks and performance and the fact that it can tow. it pulls our 1200kg caravan , with surf loaded up with gear and dog, and i wouldnt know i was towing. it returns about 27mpg unloaded and between 20 and 25mpg hooked up to caravan depending on terrain!! mine is a very low mileage truck so this may have a bearing on fuel economy.

Obviously get a test drive 1st, and there are some big lads on this forum who dont have any probs with the driving position, but...

I'm only 5'10". I have the drivers seat back as far as it goes and it's about right for me. However, I've owned a few italian cars in the past so I must have monkey length arms...

              daddy long legs

              Hi bluesman
Im 6'2" and I gotta be honest with you I drive a manual 3.0L and I find its just about enough in the legs stakes ,left knee just fits behind gear stick. I reckon an auto would have more room, (no clutch pedal =that little bit extra)I suffer it cos I like em,,,,,,,,,especially the blue ones
