  • Im back and need a new surf!

    Its been torture!
I sold the surf after the summer adventure to spain to a nice chap in Ireland. He knew about the suspect head and we done a good deal. The money paid for the stamp duty on my new house on the south coast near Brighton. Since ive been here i have never seen so many surfs!
Im fed up with driving a £500 escort and am in the market for a 3rd gen with all the bells and whistles. (not red!)
Its been tough without her but i feel i need to treat myself.
Hi to everybody its been a while...
Lets hope this years holiday i wont be spending it in a layby with a bottle of water and the bonnet up!

Hi mate, welcome back. Its funny how many people are reappearing lately trying to buy Surfs after selling them!!

Its not a 3rd gen, but our 3.0TD Baby Sister black truck is now put back together. And after the last one, you need 4" of lift and 33's again to feel happy. I reckon I can do the truck, 4" Superlift kit and 33" BFG's for what you'd for what you'll pay for a good Turd Gen.

Hi Tony, thought you would be knocking around here still. Is the truck Lindas old one? Is it an SSRG or X, what are you asking for it? The only thing is i wanted a 3rd gen cause they are newer, plus i was opting away from the big wheels as i am doing lots of miles with work so need the most economical as possible.

Nah, its not Linda's but identical to hers before hers got 4x4toy'ed.

        L reg Black 3.0TD SSR-X.

We've put new head on it, Stevo supplied good used piston and set of big end bearings. (it dropped a valve seat, and ruined the head and piston.)

£3500 ono would be nice for the truck or complete with 4" Suspension lift, new 10x15" alloys and 33" BFG A/T's is £5500.

I've just got the put the air-con compressor back on it and get it gassed up.
