  • ES3000s rust!

I thought I saw someone saying the exposed rods of their ES9000s had rusted. Guess what? ES3000s (unsurprisingly) do the same!

I just noticed a bit at the top of the rod. It seems to be surface, and most brushed off with my thumb, but that's not good!

I know a few others run without shock boots, but I think I'll be cleaning the rods up, then fittings boots filled with grease! It's got to be pretty MOT unfriendly!

Just clean and smear some grease on them. The grease will be removed when the suspension moves, but only on part of the rod. the rest will be protected by the grease.
S'what I've done to mine and they're two years old. Didn't want to fit boots as they can some times hold water/moisture in them.
