Gonna buy me a whole shed load and put them on ebay at £3 a piece! Lol!

Got a great way for getting free (but very illegal and I dont condone it as an electrician) electric if you have a key meter. Seen it done on a council flat I was rewiring after a fire.

The guy had pulled out the electric company fuse, so isolating the meter. Took the tails out (the big wires from the meter to the fuseboard) of the meter and jointed them in a 100amp junction box, so bypassing the meter. Then refitted the fuse.

Those who have key/credit meters know that the electric company dont come to read your meter if you have a key meter. It relies on you topping the credit up when required.

Apparently it waas like this for over a year. Oh and the fire wasn't started by it, it was a cigarette on the couch.
