any ideas please

Ok: my 92 2.4 Surf, for some odd reason has suddenly decided to kill the eng temp guage. For some reason it just stopped working. Although I did go up some very bumpy roads.

Could it be the wire off the sender unit, If so where would I find it? or fuse! where to find that.
