You will be lucky to get anything close but there is a campsite there if you have the 3 day tickets

jacks hill cafe has some rooms for rent, if you don't mind cockroaches!!

      it's about 200yds up the A5 off the A43

it depends how far away you want to stay... Silverstone's only a small village. try Northampton.

Brampton Hut at the juncton of the A1 & A14 is about half hour away. Nice hotel & seperate restaurant/bar.

I used to organize drag racing days for the skyline owners club at santa pod & we always met there. Lately a lot of the big teams that enter into the japshow finals stay there as well & its normally a good knees up in st neots the night before

it's a tad further than that!
probably take about 1hr 15mins on a good day... double or more on Grand prix weekend

buy a tent and get into the camp ground nearby then you will have no trouble with parking and all the queing into the venue...They close the A43 for the whole weekend and make all for lanes one way depending what time of the event it is so that means lodsa traffic

              Good luck...

We go to Silverstone for the World Superbikes each May and all usual places we go to (travel inn etc) were booked out this November for NEXT May !

Best go for the tent option, no worries getting in for the events, but maybe a long wait to get out after the main race day if Brands Hatch is anything to go by. I do the Brands weekend every year for the World Superbikes and get there on the Thursday morning and leave on the Monday morning as a 3hr Q to get out after the main race does not appeal to me

              All the best...
Life on the edge is short, but the view is great !

I`ve been looking at some hotels in Northampton.Google maps reckons that its 19 miles away and a travel time of 40 minutes.

To be realistic I suppose the travel time will be more like 2 and a half hours,

                Does that sound about right?

And does anyone know what they charge for parking at silverstone?

tyr, Buckingham, Brackley, Banbury, milton Keynes, Towcester...
you got Motorway services at Cherwell valley and Northampton, either end of the A43....

                  i'd do the camping option!

Stayed there last year while on a course at Towcester. The hotel is just behind a pub which does food (reasonable, if not great), and is a couple of miles from the circuit.

I can help you out on this one!!!

I come from a place called Stony Stratford which is about 8 miles from Silverstone on the North end of Milton Keynes. There are some very good places to stay in Stony.

                      The Cock Hotel, and the Bull are the two best ones. Here are some links;

                      http://www.stonystratford.co.uk/hotels.html

There are lots of places to stay in Stony and it's a fantastic town to visit with lots of history.

You need to book this up a year before you need it. We used to use it for WSB in May and it was booked out in Nov THIS year for NEXT May !
