Swedish design - simple and user friendly???

I appreciate that this has nothing to do with Surfs, but - my other car is a Volvo S60 - its just over 2 yrs old, and tonight one of the headlights decided to stop working. So, given the foggy weather, I thought I'd switch the bulb and get on my way. I carry a spare set in the car, but they are different to the originals, so I thought I'd better relace the pair....

One and a half hours later - I have replaced the bulbs, broken one of the spring clips off (an empty 500ml Diet Coke bottle is currently holding the bulb in place) got one of them upside down, and can hardly see a thing.

I know I have big hands, but for the love of God, how on earth is anyone supposed to get their hands into the tiny space left by the Swedish porn star that designed the light setup??? There is NO space...it is absurd!!!

AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!! !!!!

So - I am now going to have to look like a total dork tomorrow by asking my local dealer to 'fit the lightbulbs' for me - I cannot believe it!!!!

Are they xenon bulbs? If so, you may have a duff ballast resistor.

Nah - I'm too cheap to pay an extra £1,300 for lights when the car comes with some already... :-)

I take it they rely on company car folk ordering the options then...

So you've found that they ain't all designed for simple maintenance - not many are - they make their money at the main dealer (like we didn't know that already)

now i've had my lift done i have to get mine adjusted as the lights only shine up about 20ft in front of the surf

In five years I ain't changed a bulb never mind adjusting the Lights on me Truck

thats funny i could swear mine has cut outs in the front grill for head light adjusting,just need a screwdriver.

you have flush fit headlight dont you richard,i have them little square candles,i think thats the difference.i can adjust mine through cut outs in the front grill.

yea mine are flush.there are 2 long screws on the top of each headlight will it be one of them
