v6 or inline 4

Hi all, looking for some info,
i have sold 2.4 surf and im driving a landcruser at the moment.
However im looking for a surf or 4runner it will have to be a 3.0l...and diesel
what i would like to know is what are the differences between the 3ltr inline 4 engine and the 3ltr v6?
is there a difference in power,torque etc and what about mpg?
Is there anything i need to look out for in a 4runner as opposed to a surf?

The V6 is petrol, not diesel.

Having already said the V6 is petrol, the difference is more power, less torque, worse MPG. It sounds nicer .

Yeah, check for rust on a 4runner, particularly the bottom of the doors. If you go for a V6 (which I doubt if you need diesel), check for signs of head gasket failure.
