TBH I thought you might grind them off and weld on big flat plates to better spread the load, but I suppose the fact that there's ten spacers spreads the load pretty well anyway

these blocks are 70mm in diameter.so they are quite big.so should spread the load really well.

Was just thinking you could leave the full diameter in contact with the chassis if you ground off the cups and welded on flat plates, but its probably not necessary given there is rubber bungs there too, or are you throwing those away?

no keeping the rubber bungs.the cups help locate the spacers too.
