Before I go out in the pi$$$ing weather rooting around the clear light cluster.
My problem is lights are all on OK but when I put on the brakes the right side works OK the other goes out. When the lights are out the brake lights do the same Could it be just the element thats gone in the twin filament Bulb. Thereby just replacing the bulb will fix it?

Sounds like the bulb is inserted the wrong way. The twin filament bulbs have 'stepped' locating pins.

Are they the Ebay versions? as some have had them melt and cause problems with the bulb holders.

Sorry, you confused me by saying clear light clusters.

It maybe something simple like corrosion on the light cluster wiring plug or water has got in and is causing a short.

Good man Trev, I've been looking for some tidy LED bulbs.

                    Vince

Can reccommend the seller, got both his brake and indicator bulbs fitted on Hippo with standard rear clusters - no problem at MOT time
