  • Spamming scumbags

Hopefully we have seen the last of the robot sspam bags.
Have enabled the security code on registration, when you now register you have to physically type in a security code displayed in a box.
The robots cant do this so hopefully we wont get any more
Say not always what you know, but always know what you say.

It's a start, but unfortunately at best that is all it is. Spamming is now such big business, and worth so much money, that there are companies that rent out staff whose job is to sit there all day, solving these things for the signup robots.

The only way it will ever be stopped is:
          a) If absolutely no one ever clicks on a link in a spam post, where ever it may be (forum, email, advert etc)
          b) People actually take the time (and it doesn't take long) to keep their PCs patched up to date, secured, and protected (anti-virus, firewall etc). 99.99% of all spamming is done via innocent PCs of people who have unwittingly had their PCs compromised. Keep your PC secure, and the problem will die out.

Oh well. If one must. You know the Surf condom remark earlier? Question:
What do you normally find inside one?
