Tell me why does one Surf Gearbox come out easily, and the next one won't clear the bulkhead/front diff pinion for love nor money!!! They can't be built that much different!!!



I think I'm gonna make all clutch/crankseal jobs come with bodylift fitted first!

Do the lift too, you'd still be cheaper than a Toyota garage.

When i get into that situation i Forget it & do something else. Then on return its usually a piece of CAKE

Time to call it a day, the garage has a Surf with no pistons or head in it, and a 4Runner with no gearbox, so none of them are moving!! So this evening was going to be outside playing with the EFI wiring on Chris V6 4Runner, but I trod on the fluorescent lead light earlier, no bulbs for the old lead light and the rechargable one has just gone flat!

So I'm calling it a day!!!

ps if you got a qd store near you theyre selling cordless re chargeable led inspection lights for £15.00 comes with car and house charger.i use em for mot ing and repairs,there not the sturdiest of kit but for £15 i aint complaining!!

A few years ago a group of us was trying to put the transfer box and gearbox back on a fire engine , five hours later still no luck , so went down the pub


3 pints later we rolled back and it all fell into place ....A little liquid lubrication can work wonders

I did wonder how you could re charge a cordless! I suppose it must be solar powered, hence why it ran flat!!!
