£34.99 is about the normal price for those. I bought the 4 man version for the kids to mess around in the garden back in the summer from Woolworths Big W store, and is was only about £20. If you are serious about camping, go to an outdoor shop where they have tents on display so you can examine what you are getting.

Pops , definitely would not buy this tent . Whatever tent you buy needs 2 "skins" This is important to prevent condensation inside the tent & also means you will stay warmer at night etc.
Also one room means you are likely to feel cold as it is a big area to warm with body heat.
I would look for a tent with a porch area or 2 smaller bedrooms ( ideal for guests or storage )
Something reasonable should be available for £60 +
Also looks to be crap quality.
Half decent tents should have a measurement of hydrostatic head .This measures the resistance of the material to rainfall.
As a guide ,I would look for one with a minimum of 2000mm ,the more the better. This is generally a guide to quality as well !

Pops ,those are more like it .Vango are a decent make & they are decent prices .If you only want it for occasional use ,they will last for ages as long as you look after it .
See this for a 2 bedroom model (pg 24 in new Argos cat.)
                              http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...go.x=6&go.y=11

More money ,but a room either side & space in the middle . The catalogue has more details....But them Vango's are fine !
