Hi everybody, Just thought i'd say hi cos i bought a Toyota Hilux Surf,
its a 2.4litre SSRG model.
I read about the problems these engines have... What can i do to prevent this happening to mine...

Hello Mate welome to the clan. Its worth finding out if the head has already been changed. I would change the thermostat, rad cap, and flush and burp the cooling system. Make sure you use the right antifreeze/water mix. Happy Christmas.

Dont know if the head has been changed as its a fresh import and i'm first owner...
Car starts up straight away and drives without fault...
How much antifreeze/water should i apply when i change the coolant...
