We have just got rid of some trucks at work that have over a million miles on the clock. Granted the engines are bigger, but they get used about twice a day 364 days a year(not on Xmas day)

They have not had a re-build according to the fitters. They were DAF and Cummins engines.

My Volvo 740 GLE (pre surf mobile)255,000 miles yep over a 1/4 of a million and still going strong, had to have the starter overhauled 2 weeks ago, I just hate things that dont last!

Alot depends who owned it before, and motor that be abused near the red line to often or not maintained will be junk by 100,000 miles. well maintained and treated with respect and the sky is the limit!
