Lettuce quickerly get to the bo'om of this.

If you can't do English like what you're supposed to: DON'T GET A JOB BROADCASTING.

Adding syllables where there aren't any (ath-er-le-tic), dropping syllables where there should be some (lie-bree), confusing words (that effected the outcome) and just plain getting letters in the wrong order (nuc-e-lar) is rude. It means someone can't be bothered to do their job properly.

Surely we can squeeze a little education out of the licence fee income for these poor souls?

You might get more results if the schools actually taught the kids how to spell correctly, instead of letting them get away with anything and giving them A*'s for appaling spelling and grammar. However, as many of todays teachers were themselves the product of the flawed educational experiments in the late 60's, 70's and 80's there is probably no hope for todays youngsters.

The problem is that all the teachers who could teach have been removed from the system. Now all teaching is done by classroom assistants, and the teachers are there purely as administrators ( you should see the level of paperwork).

You can't beat good old "Fuch's Lubricants" for a giggle on the motorway!

Oh, and what is it with apostrophes? Why can't people get a sign or notice spell-checked by someone with a modicum of intelligence before paying out hundreds of squids to get it printed and hung over their shop door.

              Fish & Chip's

"Chip's what?" has got to be asked, and if the answer is "sausage" then run a mile!
