Manuals - Double clutch

I was looking at some surfs today, and i went to a car yard where i was talking to the salesman. He tells me not to get a manual surf because of the fact that they have what he said a double clutch, and if they go, can cost up to $2000(AUS) to fix. Is this a common problem with the manual surfs? or could any one that experienced this problem give a couple words of insight about cost?

He is vaugly right, although it not THAT common, the dual mass flywheel breaks down, but the answer is simple, you replace it with a solid flywheel from a 4Runner and a normal clutch.

A new dual mass flywheel is £500+, but the solid flywheel kit including a complete new clutch is only £350.
