Thinking of gettin a CB radio, but whats the deal with the licence??

I believe you sit there for 8 days. Then go buy your CB equipment.

(The CB license is being dropped from 8th December).

Just go buy the cb and dont worry about the licence, i aint got one and i think they are s$$$$ing it anyway so you wont need one. try www.thunderpole.co.uk they are a good bunch of guys.

You do not require a licence for cilly band now but you are still restricted as to what you can do and what aerials you can use...That means no beams.
The original frequencies are in the process of being disbanded in favour of the European Spec which we all know is the same frequencies that the US uses but using FM only, there has been talk of allowing multimode usage but that is not going to happen unless you take leap and get a Ham licence which will give you a lot more to use.

"Licence" Never had one when they were illegal,(Sidebander) so Y would i bother now you don't need one !!!!!

There's always a Payback.... You just can't be a rebel all the time can U ????
