Im the same, I do about 2000 miles per week and Tomtom is the only way to go. I have used another cheaper sat nav and it went in the bin. Tomtom all the way.

£200 from Halfrauds which is about right.

      Where's your bin?
Is the sat nav still in it?

I've got Route66 software on my phone. Think it's great, and cost me £28 for a memory card, preloaded with the software on good old ebay.
Another £40 for a bluetooth GPS receiver, and it's a cheap but good Sat Nav for me!!
          It just does, OK?

Agree - I only know 3 people with satnav & this has happened to 2 of them, neither of them had left them in the car, one girl they smashed both of her front door windows

It's good software, actually. I've also got Tomtom5 for a PDA, and a mate's got Navman, and I reckon Route 66 is the betst one.

                    Ah, gotcha!

So what you're saying is that you have three devices rather than just one unit that you plug into the fag lighter?

Can't be doing with mobile phones, can't stand them.

That's shared between the two vehicles!

GPS reciever for my phone is rechargeable, and wireless. Phone is in a cradle, plugged into the fag lighter. The other two (Tomtom and the Navman) are other people's, that I've seen working...
