    ive been told you cant weld galvenised tube is that right if so ive ive got wrong tube for my roll cage oh dear all i could get before weekend help

    You can use galvanised tube however

    - make sure you grind the zinc coating off first. Failure to do so will result in poor welds and breathing problems caused by the toxic gasses given off by the welding process!!!!
    If life's an uphill struggle then downhill from now on can't be that bad?!

          No the galvanising?? might crack but the tube will be fine just make sure you grind it off well.

            I drive for a scaffold company and we've LOTS of 2" galv'd tube thats been bent this way and that and nothing cracks

              no seriously there a scaffold firm just up the road and knew the boss way back 20 years ago, wonder if he still there?
