                god that takes me back to my childhood days,sitting inside a tesco trolley. being pushed to the top of the steep hill where i live,then being pushed off of the top,how i ever made it through my chilhood ill never know.

                    i made a rope slide 40ft high 100ft long from one tree to another down the garden... used an oiled rope and due to the lack of wheels etc. to make a proper thing to hold on to.... i used a CLAW HAMMER!!... just held the handle and hooked it over the rope!!

                    that seems dangerous looking back... but i reckon our home made cannon was the worst...

                        ours was powered by gunpowder... until my mates dad found all his cartridges missing!!... then by crow scarers... until we were barred from scats!!

                        it was about 1" diameter tube with a bolt in the end screwed and welded... then a small fuse hole in the top for the firing "mechanism" (a match!)
