A quick access to History is to click on the down arrow beside the previous/next page arrow buttons on the extreme top left. It shows there on the drop down box.

Ahhh ... somebody else with taste I had a look at IE7 to see if Microsoft had checked out Opera before designing it and decided that they are still as arrogant as ever
