Try soap and water, failing that white spirit (quick wipe and make sure you dry straight after)

Then apply some wax to paint and buff. All gone.

I've got some oily finger marks on my rear tail gate I need to sort out but by the time I finished washing my truck it was dark and I was frozen stiff...

Someone posted on the aus site that veg oil's worse than brake fluid on paint,
did'nt give a solution to it thought, try'd "T" cut?

Generally, any type of oil will come off with washing up liquid.

If it's well and truly solidified, just pop some neat washing up liquid on it,
rub it in slightly, then let it soak. Or a bit of petrol or diesel.
