  • idle speed

    Hi all
A few weeks ago my speedo stopped working, took it into a auto electricians and they told me the receiving unit had gone, ordered a new new from Toyota, haven't fitted it yet, but since they took dash apart the revs have seemed to have dropped to around about 550, only now and then tough, wife seems to like it when this happens, something to do with the vibration, anyway back to the problem or not, could this be related to this job being done or am i just getting paraniod, i know that a auto is surposed to run at 750 on idle, can anyone help put my mind at rest, fully serviced 3 months ago
    many thanks Pesch

removing the dash clocks wouldn't affect the idle speed, perhaps your injectors need cleaning with some Redex or similar in the fuel tank, as they wouldn't have been check with the service.
